Thoughts on Self-Care During a Pandemic
These are hard, hard days. The world is more intense—emotionally, physically, digitally, spiritually, politically—than ever before, and that heightens the intensity we feel in all the corners of our lives.
In times like these, art journaling is a life raft, if only you’ll hold on.
Art journaling is a way to touch your tender center and from there pull out the mess, the hurts and the wisdom that you carry inside you. Through the use of imagery, line, pattern, texture, color, and words, your deepest emotions can be expressed. In the pages of your art journal you can feel the freedom to go to the dark places—and to the light, as well—to release it all.
And with that release you will find the strength to go on. Rise another day. Face the world again. And again. And again.
That's exactly why I created Creative Life Raft, an online art journaling experience for everyone. Creative Life Raft is a way to connect to your wordless heart and to a community of people from all over the globe also wanting to use art supplies to see themselves through these hard, hard days.
This is not just art journaling, but self-care through personal expression and creativity. It's the creative process and creative community as the path to profound inner peace and healing.
This program includes:
2 weekly heart-centered original art journaling prompts
4x weekly live video calls on Zoom (where we'll connect, hear about the theme, make art--at the same time--and share our pages)
a private Creative Life Raft Facebook group
a private Creative Life Raft class webpage where you'll easily find the downloadable pdf links and more content (as it becomes available)
a variety of ways to pay
Creative Life Raft is for you, if...
You're feeling overwhelmed by the world and longing for creative guidance through it
You're looking for a way to get creative without the pressure of making a "work of art"
You're ready for transformation and a way through the many emotions arising during the pandemic (grief, anxiety, fear, anger, longing, etc.)
You're looking for people to connect with so that you don't feel so alone navigating these treacherous waters
You love working with me (the midwife to your creativity) and are wanting more
You have some experience with art journaling and want to go deeper
You're new to art journaling but curious, maybe even nervous...but feel the call...
