A COMMUNITY JUST FOR YOU
Introducing the
Create Brave Collective
An online membership for women* in their Third Act who feel the call of creativity, who are longing to be seen and known and appreciated, and who feel ready — or almost ready — to live more fully and more bravely.
This is not a class. It's not a workshop. It's a community — intimate, held, and designed to inspire, nourish, support, and grow with you over time.
What is the Third Act?
The Crone Years
Middlescence
Elderhood
The Golden Years
A significant developmental stage of life — as unlike midlife as adolescence is from childhood.
“Rather than the metaphor of an arch (you’re born, you peak at midlife, and then decline into decrepitude), I’ve come to realize the more appropriate metaphor for aging is a staircase: The upward ascension of the human spirit bringing us into wisdom, wholeness and authenticity.”
~ JANE FONDA, TEDxWOMEN, 2012
Whether you’re approaching this chapter of your life, you’re in the in between, or you’re firmly planted here, your Third Act is feels extraordinarily different from previous chapters.
The question arising for you lately is:
How will I navigate this new chapter if I'm not even sure who I am anymore?"
Your Third Act is a massive identity shift.
Not all of us are retiring. But no one really talks about what happens when the identities we've carried for decades begin to shift.
Some are even disappearing.
For some of us, it’s a career that’s come to a close. For others, kids have left home and no longer need us in the same way. Or a relationship is ending after years of feeling like an untended garden. Or finding ourselves parenting our parents — a job we never wanted. There is a lot of friction and loss in all of that.
After decades of being defined by what we did for others, we quietly, finally, start asking not only Who will I be? but…
How will I be in the world when I'm no longer ………………………….?
NO ONE TOLD YOU TO EXPECT THIS
You’re in a transition.
The Third Act asks us to consider:
Who am I?
What is important to me at this moment?
What gives my life meaning now that I am not living my life within the frame of other peoples’ needs and expectations?
What holds me back from being my truest, most authentic self?
The Third Act invites us to be the subject of our own lives — possibly for the first time ever. It invites us to make choices that bring us wholeness and satisfaction, that add meaning to our days and meaning to our communities and world, and that nourish our spirits.
“Older women are the largest demographic in the world. If we can…redefine ourselves and become whole [we] will create a cultural shift in the world and give an example to younger generations so they can reconceive their lifespan.”
~ JANE FONDA, TEDxWomen, 2012
What is the Create Brave Collective?
An online membership community dedicated to women* in their Third Act centering:
Deep Self-Discovery
We’ll explore the questions that matter in this particular moment: fear, courage, identity, purpose, meaning, and choosing ourselves.
We’ll art journal. We’ll share our work. We’ll gather for conversations around the virtual campfire.
This is where we’ll practice getting quiet enough to invite our own wordless hearts to speak up about what’s essential right now.
Community Witnessing
Being witnessed means being seen, known, and understood. It’s sharing the tender parts of yourself with people who don’t judge you or rush to fix you.
It’s also learning to witness yourself — not with the quick drive-by glance we usually give ourselves, but with genuine curiosity.
Witnessing is not only a core piece of every Unfold Art program, but an essential element of the self-discovery that transpires for my clients. It wouldn’t be my program without it.
Joyful Creativity
Remember when you were a kid and play was your work? Why not reclaim that kind of work now?
We’ll gather for live (and recorded) technique lessons, co-arting sessions, and Q&As. We’ll let loose, get messy, and most of all, play! Think of these sessions as masterclasses in FUN.
We’ll dust off the art supplies you’ve been saving for “someday” and discover new ways to use them. We’ll also play with new materials chosen especially for our creative explorations.
Whatever brought you — you belong here.
*Open to all women-identifying and non-binary folks
closing in on or into their Third Acts (50’s, 60’s and beyond)
Here’s What You’ll Find
Inside the Community
You don’t need to be an artist.
This community was built for people who sense that something more is possible and want the creativity, community, and courage to find it. You don't need to have it figured out. You just need to be willing to begin.
Testimonials
“When you are working and creating in flow, all of the things around you tend to disappear and your focus is on something that feels like it’s being channeled. You end up with something that’s been created not entirely by your effort but by some collective unconscious.”
“Joy feels like resistance to me. It’s a form of resistance that is kind of the antidote to what’s happening in the world.”
“Practices like art and meditation are ways to resist being overwhelmed or stifled. Finding a supportive community helps, as well.”
“That’s the best part of life — using creativity and tapping in — it opens your mind to everything else.”

How Membership Works
When you join the Create Brave Collective, you're making a 6-month commitment.
Six months gives us room to become a community, not just a group of people who joined the same week. It's enough time for trust to build, for the work to go deeper, and for you to feel what's possible when you stay.
At the end of your 6 months, you can continue at your same rate, adjust your tier, or step away.
This isn't a subscription you can cancel anytime. It's a container, and containers only hold what we're willing to commit to.

No. This is not about making beautiful things, it's about using creativity to discover true ones. -
The Create Brave Collective lives on Swarm, a video-first community platform. You'll get an invite and simple instructions once you join.
-
Is this a support group or therapy?
Thought all Unfold Art programs are therapeutic-feeling, Susie is a creativity coach and expressive arts facilitator, not a licensed therapist. This is not therapy. -
We still would love for you to be part of our sisterhood! The Create Brave Collective is open to having younger women* in our circle because we get that some of us are old souls who feel the shifts earlier in our lives.
If you have the desire to be part of our community with the understanding that the focus is on this particular stage of life, then we’d love to have you.

Nuts & Bolts
Materials
When you join you’ll receive an art supply list with recommendations. We invite you to purchase what you need to begin (this will be noted in the list) as well as continue to collect new supplies as the program unfolds.
Schedule
Program sessions will occur around the monthly calendar, generally within the first three weeks of the month. The fourth and fifth weeks you can expect to be quiet, integration weeks, with no calendared events.
To accommodate multiple time zones of our community members, events will be scattered amongst various times of day: morning, midday, afternoon, and evening. We don’t expect you to be available for all.
Access
The Create Brave Collective is abundant in offerings. All members have access to all offerings on the platform and calendar. There are well more opportunities than we expect every member to access monthly.
Every session will be recorded and shared on the platform. You can plan to come live or to watch a recording as it works for your schedule.
None of the events are required, though you’ll be notified if attendance at an event is HIGHLY encouraged. These will be the events that are specifically for the WHOLE community and only offered sporadically.
Invitations / Obligations
Everything offered in the Create Brave Collective is an invitation to you to grow and nourish your creative spirit.
Nothing is an obligation, directive or requirement.
No prompt or event should be considered “homework.” You have full agency to choose to attend or respond to what calls to you, works for you, and fills your heart.
As with any invitation, you have the choice to accept or reject. Within the Create Brave Collective you get to choose to engage with prompts, have fun, take risks, join live calls, ask questions, share your work, AND do none of the above. It’s totally up to you.
